Re: poly girls
Mon, July 19, 2004 - 11:08 AMwendee, don't feel old, "old" is relative anyways! i know a lot of "older" people got offended at the tribe i created, because of the age thing. they somehow thought it was an insult to them, that i wanted to find other poly people that i can relate to and have things in common with, and most typically those are people around my age. there are exceptions, of course (i have a 50 year old friend that parties like he's 20), but the age does kinda help narrow things down a bit. anyway, not saying you feel the same as the other people who were bitching... but yea, keep in mind i started the tribe with MY needs in mind, not a 36 year old, or 45 year old, etc.

You're so cute..
Women that are involved in polyamorous relationships. Relationships that have existing loving relationships outside of the one they are commited in.
Is that a quick and accurate description?

Sat, July 17, 2004 - 12:45 AMHello,
I'm 23 too. Hmmm... I guess I'm semi-poly (girls only). I was checking out your profile and saw that you were in the 'arabian horses' tribe. Check out my arab Zima in my profile. -

Re: poly girls
Mon, January 3, 2005 - 6:45 PMMy love and I (of 13 years) are exploring poly-ness but at the moment I am better at sharing than gifting him to others.
I think I have become more self-confident and sexually open as I entered my mid-thirties. I think going through this process at 25 was not intellectually possible for me.
This might be a great topic to share over wine one night with those over 35 sharing what we know with those 35 and under...I wish I had the ability to have an open, frank conversation with women when I was younger. Might have gotten me here sooner.

Re: poly girls
Tue, January 4, 2005 - 8:49 AMI am with you, let's get together and talk.
Frankly polys, semi-polys, newbies, swingers, and bi-curious come in many ages, shapes, color, and sizes. We don't need the constraints of under X-age or over X-age to share the emotional highs and lows, the logistics, the intellectual nuances, and the joy/passion that comes from this type of lifestyle. I would have loved to talk with strong women who participate in this type of lifestyle when I was younger. I would have loved to known that this is not just for "Those Types". That people can lead healthy, happy lives when they are poly. If nothing else--knowledge breeds tolerance. (Ok, sorry for sermon! :) ) -

Re: poly girls
Tue, January 4, 2005 - 2:22 PMI am sorry if I created the impression of separatism of those over 35 vs those younger - that was not my intent. In the last year I have met a woman who is barely 20 and damn, she knows who she is...powerful, bi-, playful and embracing life with a can-do attitude. She has embraced only those cultural norms that serve her and rejected the rest. She is truely happy.
In my experience, as I get older, I have a better understanding of who I am and I am getting better at communicating that. I am ready to share what I know but also interested in hearing how I may continue to grow and become a more powerful woman as I move through my 40s and 50s and beyond. At the moment, I am getting in touch with my inner goddess who is a warrior while my fascade is a meek pleaser.
I can't help but think it gets better the older and wiser you get but I too recognized that a cultural shift has occurred and those younger than me are making great strides in claiming self-confidence and being strong, independent women. We can all be the teachers and pupils in this lesson called life. -
